WINTER SCHLOSS (Winter Castle).

Probably one of my most “Dream-Like” paintings.

 As much as I love Australia, I sometimes miss my Childhood Castles.  The Castles of Bavaria– some of them reflecting pure opulence and grandeur, others a forbidding reminder of the Dark Ages.

As children, we used to play inside some of these Ruins, pretending to be valiant Knights, clad in cardboard armour, brandishing weapons made from plywood.

At the end of the day, every single one of us brave Knights returned home, tired from pretending, shoved into a bath and forced into eating Spinach Pie and Dumplings!!!!

Well here we are........ another month done!!!  Where are the days going..............????

Not to worry - I have been busy working away on my Flower Power Handbag - have called this one: SPRING TIME IN MY GARDEN.......

and here is the story for it:

SPRING TIME IN MY GARDEN  

Every season has its own beauty.... but my favourite season is Spring Time....

The Earth has turned 365 times since last Spring – It seems as if all at once, those within the confines of this hidden Garden are budding and eager to burst forth with blooms of colour and joy....

Underneath the toes of the old woodland tree the slumbering Elf slowly rises................

The song of the morning bird has finally aroused his senses, and he awakens to its call.......

Cheerfully he wanders down the Woodland Path, exchanging glances with the blooms along the way.

Each flower bends it’s head towards him, acknowledging his presence.

Oh!!  It is just so good to be alive and to smell their heady perfume........

“Good Morning to you all!”  he shouts............... “How lovely you look today, Marigold, in your golden cloak – and oh, Magnolia – you are magnificent in your magenta gown.”..........

Daisy and Daffodil smile at him as he skips past.......  Oh, if only life could always be this good.....

But why should life not always be this good?    Are we not in control of our own destiny? 

We must all learn to adapt to our circumstances, and learn to control what is happening to us..............  it is most important that we never ever let circumstances control us ..............

Life is for us to live - let the blooms of the veldt show us the way, let the smile of the sunshine light our paths, we are all light beings and we are all created in love............

This SpringGarden is our Cathedral of Joy....
