"LIVING FOSSILS"

I have created this scene to be part of my story "Journey of the Ghorks". (c)

A Realm, which I call "The Land of Wonderment", is a place where nothing seems real and time is standing still.  There is no sound, not even a breath of wind.  Nothing moves and the heat is too lazy to quiver!

But be aware weary Traveller!

When the Daytime Moon changes it's colour to red and the Sun watches with envy, Giant Fossils of awesome size gather their ancient bones and dress up in skins and feathers of glorious colours.  They will promenade with pride and decorum until darkness befalls the Land of Wonderment.

"Skybathing"

This painting was entirely based on the aerial antics of the wonderfully magestic fleet of Pelicans that fly past our 3rd floor apartment windows everyday.  They seem to take delight in  playing with the "thermals" and just simply lie back and float on air.

Some of you will know that recently we had our car stolen.  This was an absolute nightmare, on many levels - but fortunately we did get the car back, 10 days later, although in a much worse condition.  But after spending close to $1,000.00 on repairs we now have a much better vehicle sitting in our garage.

However, amongst some of the valuables stolen from the car was Rainer's lovely old leather satchel which contained 4 of his art portfolios, many of his favourite sketching pencils and worst of all our book of client contacts!
